How do I create a user account?
To create a user account follow the steps detailed on the Getting Started page. Members, please note that you have easy single-sign-on access to IDAcademy. Simply use your IDA portal credentials (email and password) to log in.
How do I reset my password?
To reset your password, click the login button on the IDAcademy home page. Next, under 'Forgot your password?' select 'click here' to reset your password.
I am having trouble logging into my account, what can I do?
The IDA office is open between 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. EST. You can reach our office by calling (202)-591-2457. If we aren’t available, please leave us a voice mail. The inbox is checked daily and we strive to get a response within two business of the message. You are able to reset your account by yourself by selecting “Sign-in” and choosing the “Forgot Password” link. From there, provided you have the email for the account or username, you should be able to reset the password.
How do I register for a course?
To register for a course, start by visiting the Catalog page and selecting the course you’d like to take. You’ll be redirected to the IDA Store to complete your purchase.
Once your purchase is confirmed, return to the IDAcademy site— your course will appear in your Dashboard. From your Dashboard, you can view your registered courses, track your progress, and download certificates for completed courses.
How do I access my training course after purchase?
Once your purchase is complete, your course will be available through your Dashboard—your personal learning hub. After creating an account, you can access the Dashboard to view your registered courses, track your progress, and download certificates earned from completed courses.
How do I access my certificate of completion?
After finishing your course, you’ll be prompted to complete a brief survey. Once submitted, click “View/Print Your Certificate.” You can also access your certificate anytime from your Dashboard.
Is there a discount on training courses for members?
Yes. IDA members receive a discount on all IDAcademy training courses.
I want to purchase a course for my technicians, how do I do this?
Courses are assigned directly to the individual who purchases them. We recommend having your technician create a new account and purchase the course under their name. Once enrolled, they can complete the course, take the quiz, and receive a certificate of completion. This certificate, along with the purchase receipt, can be used to request reimbursement if needed.
I've purchased a course by accident, how do I receive a refund?
Please contact our general info box at info@doors.org or contact our primary office and we will be able to issue a refund.
